College is a weeding process in life. College instructors cannot afford to waste time on a student that refuses to try, however, when they find a student that is like a sponge, eager to learn, they will bend over backwards to assist them. Instructors want to make successes in the classroom and to make successes in the field in which they are instructing. When they see a student that wants to learn, they will nurture that student and point them in the right direction. This is something to be learned concerning college instructors and your future attorney employers.
Paralegal Education and Paralegal Training - Being a Paralegal
It would be nice to say that once you’ve received your certificate or degree, you are a paralegal. On an academic scale, this is true: In actuality this is not true. Having the piece of paper means that you now equipped with the tools to effectively work as a paralegal. This means that you have a great knowledge of legal terminology and procedures. Applying that knowledge is a different and separate process. Gaining the experience in the legal field takes time and perseverance. Make sure you find mentors and/or other paralegals for support. If you can afford to join paralegal organizations, it is recommended. This will give you an outlet to ask questions in which you might be afraid to ask your employer. With the assistance of electronic correspondence, other paralegals may be able to assist you will forms and guidance to help you grown in your profession.
